Fritzlar is a small German town (pop. 15,000) in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse, 160 km (99 mi) north of Frankfurt, with a storied history.
We set out for Kassel on a wonderful day, made a stop at Fritzlar, that has a walled in medieval town center. The Cathedral with statue of St. Boniface who was a Christian missionary from Rome, can be seen from miles away.
