Peter Luger Brooklyn
178 Broadway,
Brooklyn, NY 11211
Their Brooklyn chophouse is in Williamsburg, on the corner of Driggs Ave and Broadway, opposite from Williamsburg Savings Bank. A few doors west is the Davidoff of Geneva cigar shop. We parked near by and did our two bridges and 10 miles hike.
… their Great Neck outer house
We were assigned to a terrible location, by the door. The servers are nice.
- Breads: great but the packed butter (commodity Butter?) feels cheap
- House red: Merlot, Pinot Noir and Cab: all are pretty good
- Caesar salad: good especially when we were all thirsty
- Cream spinach: the greenest I’ve had – really good
- German potato: good. Not many can screw up the versatile potato
- The $247.80 t-bone steaks for four is ok: had it better elsewhere
We didn’t have room for coffee nor dessert. Not sure what the average dinner consumes but when we ordered ONE Caesar salad and steak-for-four, for the five of us, the elderly serving staff looked a little puzzled. Really, it was just a dinner, we don’t want to stuff ourselves. And the amount of food was just fine.
