Luisenplatz
Luise Square is the city center with shops, trams and buses. It was named after Grand Duchess Luise Henriette Caroline (1761-1829), wife of Ludwig I of Hesse-Darmstadt, in 1820. A few step east is the Ernst-Ludwigs-Platz.
