Palm Beach, FL 棕榈滩

Palm Beach is a narrow barrier island east of the main land / West Palm Beach, linked by four bridges. Population is 9,245 (2020 census), with additional 25,000 snow birds migrating between November to April.

It’s home to many notable residents and businesses. Both ex presidents, JFK (1917-63; 36th 1961-3) and Donald Trump (1946;45th 2017-21) had and has his summer home here. JFK’s retreat/Winter White House on the island @ 1095 North Ocean Drive, La Querida. (It was last sold by Jane Goldman for $70m in 2020; How Mar-a-Lago Almost Became the Kennedy and Johnson Winter White House.), and Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, which he still owns.

The little town is charming, with many whimsical courtyards and gardens, Pan’s Garden, Starbucks, and the Breakers, and the Colony.

Worth Avenue is their main street, the 5th Avenue of New York, and the Rodeo Drive. Saks Fifth Avenue Living Green Wall @ 150 Worth – an art piece by the Garden Club of Palm Beach.
