Yin Chengzong @ Alice Tully
殷承宗 at Lincoln Center, couldn’t have asked for a better a program: Edvard Grieg’s piano concerto and the Yellow River.
My thoughts were washed away by the roaring Yellow River’s currents or crescendo. It’s been a long time. Seeing him in Beijing, then at a little lakeside town upstate, now at the center of the world, center of sophistication.
His playing wasn’t up to par (连滚带爬的 rolling & crawling, plus too man wrong notes) but the sentiment was the reason that I went.
